On the June 8th episode of Immortal Song 2, 4Minute’s Gayoon, Jiyoon and Sohyun put on a masterful performance of the Korean folk song “Nililiya,” updating the traditional song to their modern style, which also features a dance solo from Sohyun!
The members stated before performing “We gave it a lot of though on what we should sing. We covered ‘Nililiya’, but the lyrics were so difficult to understand, we had to look them up. We transformed the folk song into K-pop in 4minute’s style.” Other 4Minute members Hyuna and Jihyun can be seen watching, being nervous for their fellows’ sakes.
The performance recieved great praise from the other artists present, with Jung Jae Hyung stating “I think you could release this as a single,” and Bada adding “The song is quite addicting,” not to mention the seal of approval it gets from former H.O.T member Moon Hee Jun, who can be seen dancing excitedly! Congratulations to the girls on a successful Immortal Song 2 appearance!
