Idol fans of B.A.P, INFINITE, EXO, and more were reported to be handing out relief goods at the site of the ferry incident under the name of the celebrities they liked.
They included thoughtful and humble messages such as, “I want to give you at least a cup of warm coffee,” “It’s trivial and not worth much, but I hope it helps,” and more. They are giving out hot packs, coffee mixes, paper cups, female products, vitamins, and more.
One rep from the music industry said, “There are a lot of mature fans like these. It makes me happy to see the fans and stars go out to show their good selves after maturing together.”
Due to all the delays and cancellations going on in light of the tragic ferry accident, it comes as no surprise that EXO’s mini-album is next to be postponed for an uncertain period of time.
Through the boys’ official home page, SM Entertainment said, “After learning of the sinking ship incident that happened on April 16, all of SM Entertainment’s artists, executives, and SM family are struck with grief and sympathy.
After discussing the schedule for EXO’s music release, album release, and future promotions in the country, SM Entertainment decided to tentatively delay the release of mini-album ‘Overdose,’ which was planned for April 21.“
The agency also said, “We ask for understanding from the fans who’d been awaiting the music as this decision resulted from our desire for the safe return of the passengers and condolences for the victims. We thank the fans for their great interest in new mini-album ‘Overdose’ and will later on announce the release date once it’s been confirmed.”
U-KISS was originally slated to make their comeback near the end of April, but it appears they will have to postpone the album release date.
Agency NH Media stated to media outlet OBS, “The comeback initially planned for April has been pushed back to May. The mini-album will be released after the middle of May. Work on the album has fallen behind. Even now, we are receiving songs in order to release an album with a level of completeness.“
The agency brought even more bad news, “For this album, member AJ will not be able to take part due to his studies. His participation in the Japanese concert in July is also uncertain.” AJ is currently studying at the prestigious Columbia University.
Stay tuned for updates on U-KISS’s album!
