The movie ‘Tazza: The Hand of God’ (working title) has finally taken out its set of cards and revealed its cast, which consists of Choi Seung Hyun (T.O.P) from group BIGBANG, Shin Se Kyung, Yoo Hae Jin, and Kim Yoon Suk.
‘Tazza: The Hand of God’ is the sequel to Tazza, a movie released in 2006 based on a manhwa (comics) by artist Heo Young Mahn. The movie attracted 6,840,000 moviegoers and dominated the theaters during the Thanksgiving season that year.
The first ‘Tazza’ is directed by Choi Dong Hoon, who also worked on ‘The Big Swindle’ and ‘The Thieves’. For ‘Tazza: The Hand of God’, director Kang Hyung Chul, who became popular with ‘Speedy Scandal’ and ‘Sunny’, is in charge.
‘Tazza: The Hand of God’ is about Dae Gil, who has had a talent for gambling since he was a kid, making a bet on everything he has on a single game that will change everything as he jumps into the world of tazza.
The main character, Dae Gil, was played by Jo Seung Woo in the previous version. This time, the role is given to Choi Seung Hyun, who became the most anticipated star in the movie industry when he won rookie awards for the movie ‘Into the Fire’.
Actress Shin Se Kyung will play the role of Heo Mi Nah, Dae Gil’s first love, while Lee Ha Nui will play the role of President Woo, a wealthy widow who will mesmerize Dae Gil. Other cast members include Gwak Do Won, Lee Gyeong Young, Kim In Kwon, and Oh Jung Se.
The cast already started filming on January 2 in Chungryang-li, Seoul, and the movie is expected to be released in the second half of this year.
